Coach Angela Brunner - Head Coach, Varsity

Coach Brunner has been coaching youth & high school lacrosse in the Atlanta area since 2007.  She is in her 9th year teaching and coaching at Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia.  Since being at Lassiter, Coach Brunner has a total of 116 wins and a 69% overall winning average. In state, she has an 81% winning percentage (from 2015-2023, Lassiter was won 93 games against Georgia teams and only lost 23 games).  Also, she has a 90% winning percentage in area wins (52 area wins and 6 area losses). She has led the Trojans to multiple region championships and one state title appearance.  Previously, she coached for Centennial High School, where she took the team from 6-10 in 2010, to 17-1-1 in 2013.  Coach Brunner has coached for local and national club teams, including XTEAM and ATL.  She is also a 4X Under Armour South All-America Coach for 2021.  Coach Brunner was also a three time US Lacrosse National Southeast Region Team coach.  She was awarded 2021 Coach of the Year for Georgia by USA Lacrosse.

Coach Brunner is also in her 5th year as a Director for the Atlanta Storm Lacrosse program.  She founded the Atlanta Storm Program in the Fall of 2017 with her longtime colleague, Aubree Mancuso-Surdoval.  Atlanta Storm Lacrosse is an Elite program which has grown exponentially in 5 years.  Atlanta Storm now has over 20 different teams across Georgia and employs over 40 different coaches.  Atlanta Storm offers the best coaching experience to our elite and regional teams.  Storm also offers clinics and trainings!

Coach Brunner grew up in Annapolis, Maryland and began playing lacrosse in 6th grade. She played lacrosse at South River High School in Edgewater, Maryland.  Coach Brunner was a member of two state championship teams her senior year in both Lacrosse and Field Hockey.  After High School, she played two years of Lacrosse at Limestone College.  She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005, where she played club lacrosse.

Currently Coach Brunner teaches Health at Lassiter High School.  She earned her Masters degree from Valdosta State University in 2010.  Coach Brunner is married to Daniel Brunner, who also teaches in Cobb County and coaches varsity football.  She has two beautiful children, Daniel Jr. and Charlie Grace and one playful boxer named Champ. 

Coach Brunner cares deeply about coaching, her players, her coaching staff, and the community.  She has developed a system on how to be an effective yet positive coach.  Coach Brunner develops meaningful relationships with other coaches and members of the community.

Coach Erin Corbin - Head Coach, Junior Varsity

Coach Corbin is currently going into her sixth season as the Lassiter High School Head Junior Varsity Lacrosse coach. Prior to coaching at Lassiter, she worked at the Marist School as a middle school head coach. Coach Corbin graduated from Kennesaw State University at the top of her class and played on the KSU Club Lacrosse team from 2011-2014.  She began playing lacrosse in 6th grade as the sport was just being introduced to her hometown. She was lucky enough to be coached by the Powell Brothers (look them up) her first two years. This is when Coach Corbin fell in love with lacrosse and hasn’t left it since. She currently lives in Roswell and is a math teacher at Lassiter High School. This is also her second season as the Trojan Youth Senior Select Coach where she is training and preparing future Trojans for their high school season. 

Coach Dayna Martinetto

This Coach Dayna Martinettos first season as a Varsity Lacrosse Coach and Paraprofessional at Lassiter High School.  Prior to coaching at Lassiter High School, Coach Dayna played goalie at Jacksonville University (Go Dolphins!).  She has been coaching lacrosse for Atlanta Storm since 2017 and specializes in goalie training. 

In high school, Dayna was a three-year starter in goal at Eastport-South Manor (Long Island, NY). She helped the Sharks to back-to-back appearances in the Long Island Championship.  She also played club lacrosse for the Long Island Yellow Jackets and was a time time all state honoree for Field Hockey.

About Lassiter High School

Lassiter High School is a public school in the Cobb County School District, located north of Atlanta in Marietta, Georgia. Lassiter opened in 1981 and was named for Leamond N. Lassiter, a member of the Cobb County Board of Education for 12 years.  Mr. Lassiter made many contributions to education in Cobb County during his service.
